AKC Canine Good Citizens (CGC)

“Berkshire Dogs Unleashed AKC Canine Good Citizens with Lindsey” is our advanced level obedience class. This class goes over in detail all test items for AKC CGC (Canine Good Citizens) AKC CGCA (Canine Good Citizens Advanced) and AKC CGCU (Canine Good Citizens Urban). We spend 6 weeks teaching all related tasks, offer advise and performing mock tests. The last 6 weeks we will practice for one specific test and the following week conduct the test. At the end of this course you and your dog will have been evaluated for all 3 Canine Good Citizens test. $20 per test taken is required via cash or money order on the last week of class and all forms will be sent to AKC by BDU. All specific tasks can been viewed on the AKC’s website.
Age: 8 months and up.
Breed: Any breed.
Equipment: Flat buckle collar and 6 foot leash, or slip leash.
Treats: At owners discretion (can not be used for test)
If you would like your dog to receive the AKC CGC, CGCA and CGCU titles (official AKC title) you must provide your dogs AKC number (if purebred) or get an AKC PALS number (if mix breed) to be eligible.
